how i work

I am always interested in what lies within and just outside of my lens. I take great honor and care in knowing those who entrust in me the charge of bringing their inner-most self to life. And in many ways, that is my primary focus: to document the personality of those who happen in front of my lens and report back to them what I see. When this works well, I get to present to people visuals of themselves they may have imagined but could not fully see. Nothing pleases me more than having the opportunity to introduce or reintroduce people to themselves.

My approach to photography is simple, sophisticated, and organic. My primary style is portraiture; however, I have and do routinely branch into other styles. For example, I enjoy the photojournalistic approach of editorial photography and the lifestyle approach of fashion photography. In my work I rely on both approaches to inform my style.
